Seven local companies are participating for the chance to claim the title Corporate Challenge Derby Champion.

Each team of up to seven members will spend the afternoon building an 'old-fashioned soap box style' derby car and decorating the car. Then after dinner, the teams will race their cars down the hill until a champion is crowned.

United Way of Summit County President Bob Kulinski said, "The companies that have participated in the Corporate Derby Challenge over the first two years have told us how much they enjoyed it. This is great team-building event, and the fact that it benefits United Way of Summit County and the FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby makes the Corporate Challenge Derby the epitome of a 'Win-Win.'"
