GOODYEAR HELPS CONSTRUCTION, QUARRY COMPANIES OPTIMIZE THEIR TIRE INVESTMENT

LAS VEGAS, Nev., March 6, 2014 – The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is committed to helping construction and quarry companies lower their operating costs and optimize their tire investment by providing a full line of industry-leading tires and technologies; best-in-class services and support; and a fully integrated, aligned distribution network.

Goodyear is displaying many of its construction and quarry application tires at this week’s CONEXPO Show, which is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center. (Goodyear is exhibiting at booth #11649 in the convention center’s North Hall.) Among those tires are:

Also on display are Goodyear large-haulage tires like the RT4A+, the RM4A+ and the
RM4B+, which are for quarry and aggregate use.

“These tires are designed to help vehicles operate off the road at optimal efficiency,” said David Anckaert, general manager, global OTR tires, Goodyear. “We are proud to offer these robust, highly engineered  products, and there is no better place to promote their availability than at CONEXPO.”

Premium tires are just one aspect of Goodyear’s holistic approach to serving construction and quarry companies.

“We also offer services, expertise, support and resources that go beyond the sale of the product,” said Anckaert. This includes:

“All of this is done working closely with our customers to help ensure we provide them
with tires for their applications,” he said. “Our technical analysis can even assist in establishing a plan for site enhancements and optimal tire utilization.”

In addition, Goodyear offers a fully integrated, aligned distribution network to help optimize the delivery of products, services and support.

“Our extensive network of dealers and distributors extends globally, which helps our customers receive the right products and services at the right time,” said Anckaert.

“Members of our network also can evaluate quarry and construction companies’ operations and make the most appropriate tire recommendation for their vehicles. They are a valuable source of expertise and service and a vital link in our total value proposition.”

Anticipating even greater demand for its construction tires, Goodyear is enhancing its manufacturing capabilities.

“This, combined with the continued development of our portfolio of products and services, will help our customers lower their operating costs and get the most out of their tire investment.”

Goodyear is one of the world’s largest tire companies. It employs about 69,000 people and manufactures its products in 52 facilities in 22 countries around the world.
