SAN ANGELO, Texas, October 8, 2014 – The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company will celebrate the 70^th anniversary of its San Angelo Proving Grounds on Friday, October 10.

Who: Media will have the opportunity to conduct interviews with members of Goodyear's leadership team, Goodyear San Angelo associates and community leaders who have been invited to partake in the celebration.

What: Media will see demonstrations of Goodyear's products and have the opportunity to take part in a ride and drive event, as well as a hot lap demonstration with a high performance vehicle. From 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., anniversary presentations and recognition of key stakeholders will be given by members of Goodyear's leadership team. The day will conclude with heavy tire and off-the road tire demonstrations.

The San Angelo facility covers 7,250 acres and includes 58 miles of track. Goodyear's San Angelo associates are directly involved in the testing of tires for passenger cars and trucks, commercial trucks and large off-the-road vehicles at San Angelo.
