AKRON, Ohio, September 15, 2009 - The Ford Motor Company has selected a variety of Goodyear tires as key original equipment fitments for the 2010 Ford Taurus.
The standard tire fitments for the popular and restyled Taurus model include the Goodyear Eagle RS-A, Assurance ComforTred and Eagle F1 SuperCar. The 2010 Taurus is in production now, with models arriving in Ford dealer locations.
The standard tire for the new Ford Taurus Limited is a Goodyear Eagle RS-A in size P255/45R19, and another Goodyear tire – the P235/55R18 Assurance ComforTred – will equip the new Taurus in its SEL version. Another model, the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO (Super High Output), features a performance package that includes the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar tire in a P245/45R20 size.
Taurus SHO returns with a 365-horsepower EcoBoost™ V-6, all-wheel drive and paddle-shift six-speed SelectShift Automatic™ gearbox.
Goodyear tires are original equipment on many domestic and import vehicles, and traditionally, more new vehicles in North America are equipped with Goodyear tires than any other brand.
