MAUREEN THUNE NAMED GOODYEAR’S CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER

AKRON, Ohio, July 19, 2017 – The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company today named Maureen Thune as its chief procurement officer, succeeding Mark Purtilar who is retiring from the company.

Thune has served in a variety of financial leadership roles with Goodyear since 2009, most recently as vice president of internal audit. Prior to Goodyear, she was chief financial officer of CORT Furniture Rental. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from The Ohio State University.

Thune is now responsible for sourcing and procurement of all raw materials, equipment, supplies and services across the company globally.
